Mobility/Stillness
If your PC can’t play video.
The two installations work with movement and stillness in exactly opposite ways. On one side, the installation Here Now takes live video of the studio and erases everything that is still, leaving only the bodies of spectators/observers to emerge from a grey emptiness when they move.
The installation Still Here does just the opposite: what moves is erased, and only those who stay still will appear in the image, along with the unmoving architecture of the studio, which, to encourage people to linger long enough to be captured, centres on a theremin.
